Our Vision and Your Host

The NS First Responders’ Mental Health Conference is in keeping with our vision to ensure first responders and their families have the support they need to understand, navigate and manage the potential for, and impact of work-related trauma in their lives.

Delivered by the First Responders Steering Committee, this conference will provide first responders and their employers an opportunity to hear from and network with each other and experts in the field of mental health and traumatic psychological injury.

Who is this Conference For?

This conference will offer dynamic presentations and learning opportunities for first responders and other front line emergency service workers; and the people who employ them. The employer program stream will also appeal to anyone interested in learning more about how to provide a psychologically safe workplace for their employees.

With a specific focus on psychological health and safety in emergency response workplaces, this conference will offer an excellent program featuring subject matter experts presenting the latest research, new treatment approaches, workplace psychological safety programs, and more.

Event Information

Registration fees:

  • First Responders: $50
  • Employers/Government: $300
  • Service Providers: $150*

*Service Provider registration includes the opportunity to display information in the conference resource area and provide collateral for registration bags, as well as attendance in the plenary sessions, breaks, lunches and reception.

All registration fees are stated in Canadian dollars (CAD).

Registration fee includes nutrition breaks, two lunches, reception, parking and full program/speaker access.
